CareOS

Health coordination for families and individuals — starting with a single text message.

Keep track of medications, log how you or someone you love is feeling, and make sure the people who need to know can be reached. Works over SMS, works on the web, works whether you're managing your own health or looking after a parent.

Two front doors

Pick whichever fits. You can also use both — starting on one side doesn't lock out the other.

Text to start

The fastest way in. Works on any phone — no app to download, no account to set up first.

What CareOS does today

  • Medication reminders

Set a schedule; CareOS texts you at the right time in your timezone.

  • Health journaling

Log symptoms and how you're feeling. Keep a running record you can share with a clinician.

  • Emergency contact notification

Choose people who should be notified if you send an emergency alert. Read the FAQ for exactly what happens.

  • Product recall alerts

If a medication or health product you've told CareOS about is recalled, you'll be notified.

  • Multi-language SMS

    English, Spanish, and French today.

What CareOS isn't

  • Not a doctor.

CareOS does not diagnose, prescribe, or give medical advice. If something is wrong, contact a clinician.

  • Not an emergency service.

CareOS does not call 911, does not summon help, and does not guarantee anyone will respond to you. In an emergency, call 911 first.

  • Not a substitute for your care plan.

Use CareOS to keep track of things. Use your doctor to decide what to do about them.

FAQ

What is CareOS?
A way to log and coordinate health information — for yourself or for someone you're caring for — mostly over text messages, with a web dashboard when you prefer it. You can track medications, note symptoms, add emergency contacts, and get product recall alerts.
Do I need to download an app?
No. CareOS works on any phone that can send text messages. If you want a full dashboard, sign in on the web. Nothing requires an app install.
Is it free? What does it cost?
Free today. Every account is on the free tier.
How do I start?

Two ways:

  1. Over text: message HI to +18883517161. CareOS will walk you through consent and setup.
  2. On the web: create an account, sign in, and start logging from the dashboard.

You can pick either. You can also use both — starting one way doesn't lock out the other.

What happens in an emergency?

This is important, so we'll be direct.

CareOS does not call 911. CareOS does not summon medical help. CareOS does not guarantee that anyone will respond to you.

What CareOS does: if you send an emergency alert (or if we detect language suggesting a crisis), we attempt to send text messages to the emergency contacts you have added to your account. Whether those people see the message, whether they respond, and how fast — depends entirely on those people. We do not monitor whether help arrives.

In a real emergency, call 911 first.

Use CareOS's contact notification as a way to keep family in the loop — not as a way to summon help.

What information does CareOS store, and who can see it?

CareOS stores what you tell it: medications, symptoms, journal entries, emergency contacts, and your message history.

Sensitive fields, including your symptom notes, are encrypted at rest in our database before being written.

Who can see your data:

  • You, when you sign in.
  • Your emergency contacts, and only during an emergency alert — they see the alert content and whatever contact info you've allowed.
  • People you explicitly share your profile with, using the sharing controls in Settings.
  • CareOS engineering, when debugging technical problems.

CareOS does not sell your data.

How do I stop receiving messages, or delete my account?

To stop text messages: reply STOP to any message from CareOS. You'll be unsubscribed immediately.

To delete your account: email support@careos.cc. Self-service account deletion in the web app is not currently reliable — emailing us is the working path today. We're working on the in-app version.

What languages are supported?
SMS is available in English, Spanish, and French today. The web app is currently in English. We're expanding language coverage.
Does this replace my doctor?
No. CareOS is a coordination and record-keeping tool. It does not provide medical advice, does not diagnose anything, and does not replace anything a clinician does. Use it to keep track of your health; use your doctor to decide what to do about it.
